Its all going on in Bassetlaw!!
Over recent months Bassetlaw Belles NC have been running netball training for 8 to 14 year olds at Manton Sports Club. These have proved popular and our numbers have steadily increased and we have a regular group of young players coming every week. We have recently moved the training session to Monday evenings from 6pm to 7pm. The sessions are £3.00 per person. There is a short registration form to complete on the first session.
We have two qualified coaches who deliver activities designed to improve and develop netball skills starting with the basics and working upwards. The activities are inclusive as we want to encourage participation and build confidence within the sport. Our aim eventually is to pull together a team or two to be able to play in competitive games locally for those young players who want a bit more of a challenge. But we understand match play is not for everyone so there will be no pressure to take part.
Our club are currently in the process of registering with England Netball, the sports governing body. This should open up opportunities for further development for individuals and teams.
