well its certainly been a challenging couple of weeks to say the very least with the change in the weather. Unfortunately we have had to cancel a couple of our weekly training sessions – both junior and senior. Also week 3 of our Sunday Morning League had to be cancelled and has had to be re-arranged to June. All very disappointing when we are all keen to get back on court to train and play! Still there is plenty of netball coming up.
Monday evenings at Manton from Sports Club from Monday 7th June we are extending our junior training session to 7.30pm (session starts at 6.00pm) with the last 30 minutes dedicated purely to playing matches. Our age range is 8yrs to 14yrs but welcome any young person interested in getting involved in netball. Costs from £3.00pp.
On Thursday evenings at Retford we have Back To Netball at the Elizabethan Academy, Hallcroft from 6pm to 7pm. A coach lead training session to get you back into the swing of things. Basic skills and matchplay are the order of the day. Its £4.00pp and the lower age limit is 16yrs
We move over to Manton Sports Club for Netball Now on Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm. This is a turn up, pay and play session. Again this is for 16yrs+ and its £3.00pp.
For both Netball Now and Back to Netball you can book on the England Netball website session finder or you can book a spot via the Bassetlaw Back to Netball Facebook page. Payment is made on the night please. All of our sessions are Covid secure.
From Monday 7th June the Bassetlaw Netball League returns to the North Notts Arena, Worksop. This is a social league run by Leisure Leagues. The league is currently looking for new teams to get involved or individual players looking to join a team. Please get in touch if y o or anyone you know is interested.
